Main House Upper Floor
The Main House Upper Floor is currently only occupied by the owners for their personal use except for occasional retreats/larger groups by arrangement. It is reached by a tiled internal staircase and has a large master bedroom with an overhead dome featuring hand-painted lotus flowers, and a large traditional fireplace. It has a large ensuite bathroom with a very large tadelakt bath with overhead shower, separate walk-in shower with ceramic tiles, two wash basins, a bidet, and plenty of built-in storage cupboards. The master bedroom has stunning views across the upper corridor terrace to the Atlantic Ocean at the front as well as views across the back gardens to the forest and surrounding area.
Also on the Upper Floor are two large rooms currently used as offices but which could make wonderful double or triple bedrooms, both having traditional open fireplaces and enjoying stunning sea and countryside views on three sides with terraces to the sides and front of each room. There is a room used as a large dressing room with fitted cupboards and shelving that could easily be converted into an ensuite bathroom or upstairs kitchenette, or provide an additional single or small double bedroom. The other room, currently used as a dressing room/store, could also be converted to an additional bathroom. Both of these rooms have access to the second upstairs bathroom with large bath and overhead shower and WC. There is a tadelakt basin, handmade glazed ceramic tiling throughout, and wooden fitted cupboards. This room is currently used as an upstairs kitchenette. On this floor there is a large landing with a walk-in storeroom with plenty of built-in shelving used for household equipment, linen and bedding. From the landing there is a further set of stairs leading to the top roof terrace with a dome, satellite dishes, and solar panels which provide the hot water for the main house.
From the corridor there is access to the main roof terrace which can also be reached from the external stairs at the back of the house. The terrace has three domes and a covered section surrounded by arches, ideal for enjoying the panoramic views of the countryside, sea and sunset vistas, and starscapes at night.
The upper floor has the potential to sleep 9 – 11 people depending on the configuration of space.
